On May 8, 2023, the signing ceremony of strategic cooperation between Shanghai Superconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Superconductor”) and Hefei International Applied Superconductivity Center (hereinafter referred to as “Superconductivity Center”) was held in Shanghai.

On April 20, the world's first megawatt high-temperature superconducting induction heating device developed by Jiangxi Lianchuang Optoelectronic Superconducting Application Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Lianchuang Superconductor") was successfully put into operation in Northeast Light Alloy Co., Ltd., Heilongjiang Aluminum Corporation of China.

On March 31st, the first set of domestic high-temperature superconducting electric suspension full-factor test system independently developed by CRRC Changke completed its first suspension operation in Changchun.

On March 30, Zhu Jiamin, president of Shanghai Superconductor Technology Co., Ltd., was successfully selected as MIT Technology Review Innovators Under 35 China. He was also awarded the “Entrepreneurs” medal in recognition of his development of high-temperature superconductor tape, the founding of Shanghai Superconductor Company, and the promotion of the “disruptive” high-temperature superconductivity technology in the fields of compact nuclear fusion, superconducting power, high field magnets and other innovative applications.

On February 24, Xu Haiqing (Deputy Director of Science and Technology Innovation Department of State Grid Corporation), Liu Huanxi (Deputy Dean of the Advanced Industry Technology Research Institute at Shanghai Jiao Tong University), and key experts and scholars from the Electrical Engineering Department came to Shanghai Superconductor for research and inspection. Dr. Zhu Jiamin, president of the company, accompanied their research on behalf of SST.
