Congratulations to CRRC Changke for the successful first suspension test run of the high-temperature superconducting electric levitation system, with all high-temperature superconducting materials supplied by Shanghai Superconductor

On March 31st, the first set of domestic high-temperature superconducting electric suspension full-factor test system independently developed by CRRC Changke completed its first suspension operation in Changchun. This test thoroughly validated the key technologies of superconducting electric suspension traffic systems, such as high-temperature superconducting magnet and linear synchronous traction. It marks an important technological breakthrough in the field of high-temperature superconducting electric suspension in China and lays the foundation for the engineering application of superconducting electric suspension traffic system.

The project is led by CRRC Changke and developed jointly by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Superconductor Technology Co., Ltd. and other institutions. As the core material supplier, SST provided all high-performance high-temperature superconducting materials for the project and deeply involved in the development of key components such as vehicle-mounted high-temperature superconducting magnets in the joint research team for many years. It will also follow the joint team led by CRRC to contribute to the research and development of a larger size and higher speed superconducting electric maglev.
